The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 was presented in China the 25 October 2018 but only this week officially arrived in Italy and other European countries. In addition to the sleek design and top-of-the-range specifications, many of you will remember that the Mi MIX 3, or at least one version of it, would come with a technology never seen before on a smartphone, we're obviously talking about 5G connectivity .
Although announced together with the 4G version, the model with 5G has not yet been sold in China, so let alone in other countries. The situation could change in the coming weeks as Xiaomi seems ready to formalize the Xiaomi Mi MIX 5G next month, to be exact the 24 February, or the day before the start of the most important mobile phone show: MWC 2019.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G: Possible arrival in Europe on February 24
Xiaomi's move would be quite surprising as the Chinese giant has always been close to another Asian giant, China Mobile, so it was expected to see the 5G smartphone in operation for the first time on Chinese soil.
The change of course seems to have been influenced by the beginning of the works that will bring the mmWave technology to America and Europe, this frequency is in fact used by the latest Qualcomm X50 modem that we will find inside the Mi MIX 3.
As for the other specifications of the smartphone instead, the new model will equip the most recent and performance Snapdragon 855, from 6GB to 8GB of RAM and at least 128GB of internal memory. All other specifications should also remain unchanged, we are therefore talking about two rear cameras with a primary 12MP (Sony IMX363) with aperture f / 1.8 and 1.4um pixels, two front cameras from 24MP and 2MP, a battery with a capacity of 3200mAh, support for Quick Charge 4.0+ fast charging (and 10W wireless charging) and much more.
