Despite the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 has not received the success it (perhaps) deserved, the Chinese giant has decided to continue with the market strategy revealed at the presentation, or bring the 5G version of the device to the rest of the world.
Well, apparently the first stop will be in Switzerland, thanks to the telephone provider Sunrise which supports the new 5G internet technology in Switzerland.
Xiaomi's first 5G smartphone arrives in Europe
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G will be available starting from May 2 in Switzerland, to be precise in the Sunrise stores around the country. Inside the various shops it will also be possible to test the speed of the 5G in person thanks to the test stations made available by the provider.
Sunrise is therefore Xiaomi's first 5G partner in the European continent, but the Chinese brand is keen to expand and bring the 5G to more and more countries.
The Mi MIX 3 presented at the MWC in Barcelona last February is the first smartphone compatible with the new 5G network. The device integrates a Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 modem that allows it to connect at frequencies below the 6 GHz for a download speed of up to 1Gbps. The smartphone is then equipped with the new and powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, so a good upgrade compared to the non-845G Snapdragon 5, there is also a new cooling system to take advantage of all the chip power during long sessions of play.
For those who forget it, we also remember that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is the device that adopts a sliding mechanism that hides the two front cameras for a truly full screen design when not needed.
What do you think of this move by Xiaomi? Will it be successful in Switzerland? Let us know in the comments section below!
