New rumors regarding the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 continue to follow each other day after day. Today it is the turn of the Chinese leakster Ice Universe, who has just revealed that the smartphone will not adopt a design with a screen with four rounded corners but will bring a more " ordinary ”curved display.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 4: It will have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra style screen rather than Mi 11
Recall that the design with the screen surrounded by four rounded corners is similar to the style of the Xiaomi Mi 11. Although the production cost is higher than the curved display, some users did not like this not exactly refined design.
So, according to what was revealed by Ice Universe, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 could have a design similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, or a curved screen with thinner and flatter edges. We also expect to see the upper and lower edges of similar dimensions as various rumors have suggested the presence of a display surrounded by symmetrical edges.
Let's not forget that, again according to previous rumors, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will be the first smartphone of the Chinese brand with a camera under the display in mass production. We will therefore have a truly "full screen" design thanks to the lack, at least at sight, of the front camera, along with ultra-thin edges.
However, this new under-screen camera technology has an Achilles heel, which is resolution. In fact, several rumors suggest that the panel produced by Huaxing Optoelectronics will have a resolution of only 1080p (Full HD +), therefore lower than the 2K + that we find on the Xiaomi Mi 11.
As for the other specifications, the smartphone will almost certainly be powered by a Snapdragon 888 Plus, along with a 5000 mAh battery, which should support fast charging at 120 watts wired and 80 watts wireless.
Finally, the Mi MIX 4 should cost at least 5999 yuan, about 780 euros at the exchange rate.
