Over and over we have had the opportunity to admire its beauty: the first true concept phone of our beloved brand Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha. Some lucky users have even been lucky enough to go to the chosen Mi Stores to see it up close. We hoped to have a sample but obviously, outside of China the device has touched sacred monsters such as the famous Youtuber Marques Brownlee. Waiting for the futuristic device to arrive also to us, we hope for sale, from China the photos of the first teardown unofficial at the hands of a mad but courageous user.
The futuristic Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha has been literally dismembered: let's see together all the internal parts that compose it
We are used to seeing small pieces of smartphones like cameras, RAM bank, processor and so on but this time Xiaomi did not build the Mi Mix Alpha following the standard methods. Surely the reason is given by difficulty holding components together seen the body almost entirely in glass, but in this smartphone we find only seven "strips" that go to form it. Recall that this concept phone that collectors are still waiting for is with 180% body screen ratio: this means that the almost all of the rear part and all of the front part is occupied by the curved glass display.

As we can guess from the first photo on the left, the device is modular, in the sense that instead of being made up of small pieces that come off, it is made up of few parts that go together in the assembly. The strips you see are the modules we are talking about. In terms of configuration, somewhere on these strips, we find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, 12 GB of RAM memory e 512 GB of internal storage. In the photo on the right we see the three cameras placed under the only part that is not characterized by a glass construction: main sensor from 108 megapixel, super portrait from 12 megapixel and grandagolare from 20 megapixel.
Having no physical buttons on the edges like the volume balance and power on, we see that they are placed at the top and bottom. In the left photo we can see the bottom of Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha and see the type-C connector together with the two physical keys (probably those used for volume control); in the right photo instead we see a single blue button which is undoubtedly the power button.
