Presented just a few weeks ago, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air has already come to the hands of the first international technology newsrooms. Then I showed you one first comparison on paper with the equally new Lenovo Air Pro 13, we therefore rely on them to show you a first live photographic hands-on regarding the first attempt made by Xiaomi in the world of notebooks.
Before we go further, we want to briefly summarize the technical features of the protagonist model of this hands-on:
- Display from 12,5 inches with Full HD resolution;
- Intel Core M3-6Y30 dual-core CPU with 2,2 GHz maximum frequency;
- Intel HD Graphics 515 integrated video card;
- 4 Gb of RAM memory;
- 128 GB SSD SATA III + Expansion Slot M.2;
- Webcam from 1 MP4 for HD video;
- HDMI connectors, USB 3.0, USB Type-C with quick charging support;
- WiFi connectivity ac 2 × 2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1
- Battery by 37 Wh;
- Windows 10 operating system
The first thing we want to show you about this hands-on are the bezels around the display. While not the thinnest in the world (on this there is poco against the Dell XPS 13), they are thin enough to make the overall dimensions of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air smaller than normal.
The second thing we want to point out to you is the back-lit island keypad, which allows you to have a pretty good writing comfort (according to who tried it).
The third peculiarity that we want to point out lies in the thickness. As you can see from this photo, put next to a MacBook Air seems slightly thicker. In fact, it is Apple's notebook design that tends to thin in the end. In general, they both have the same thickness.
The only flaw of this model and the most powerful model of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is perhaps the lack of a touchscreen display that, coupled with Windows 10, would certainly have made the user experience better. In any case, what do you think of this little gem?
