After updating the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro series in the "Enhanced Edition" last October with XNUMXth generation Intel processors, the Chinese brand has decided to bring a new option that is always performing but less expensive.

The Mi Notebook Pro Enhanced Edition is in fact now available (at least in China), in a variant powered by the modern Intel i5-10210U. This is added to the version with Intel i7-10510U presented a few months ago.
The chip will then be accompanied by 8GB of RAM (a downgrade from the 16GB of before) and a 512GB SSD (instead of 1TB). As for the graphics power, this new variant also comes with a dedicated Nvidia MX250 for excellent fluidity within the operating system, a little less in non-light video games.
More specifically, we discover that the Intel i5-10210U chipset is created with a 14nm production process, has four cores, eight threads and a maximum frequency of 4,2Ghz. While the RAM used is dual-channel DDR4 type with a frequency of 2666Mhz.
The 15,6-inch diagonal display has also been improved in the Enhanced Edition. We now have a 100% sRGB color gamut versus the previous 72% NTSC, so we will have much more accurate colors. The brightness has been increased to have a maximum of 300 nits and the whole is covered with third generation Corning Gorilla Glass.
Xiaomi claims to have perfected the cooling system, upgrading from the single heat pipe to two now. There is also a larger dissipation area to dissipate more heat, together with more efficient and quieter fans.
Other features include an audio system manufactured by Harman with Hi-Res certified high quality speakers for deeper bass and more delicate high frequencies. Improvement that is also noticeable when using the audio jack with external headphones. Then we find a precision trackpad with gesture support, a double WiFi 6 AC antenna to decrease interference, and a USB Type-C port to power the laptop, transmit data and videos.
There is also a large 60Wh battery for 17 hours of video playback, 1C fast charging to recharge the Mi Notebook Pro by 50% in just 40 minutes. As if that were not enough there is also the support for fast charging at 18W as on a smartphone (so you can use the same charger).
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro Enhanced Edition is now on sale in China at the price of 5899 Yuan, or € 760 at the current exchange rate.
