The timing of the launch of the new Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 tighten as the hype for the new tablet grows, it seems to bring back some really interesting features. Well the first, and official, is the one related to the equipment of the processor that will be provided by Qualcomm and specifically the Snapdragon 660 model. The new 4 Mi Pad seems to have also the "cellular" module, which will then offer us 4G LTE connectivity to be able to surf comfortably without having to be connected to a WiFi hotspot.
But the news of today seem to be even more interesting, in fact it is a few hours ago the publication of an official teaser published on Weibo, in which Xiaomi suggests a feature that reignite the interest in the tablet market. The new 4 Mi Pad will have the ability to unlock through face recognition (Face Unlock). It is unclear whether the unlock will take place using an IR camera as seen on Mi 8 or if you simply rely on the camera selfie, but it would be interesting to understand up to what conditions of poor lighting will be able to push such functionality, since often a tablet is used even when we are comfortably lying in bed.

The teaser cites verbatim that Mi Pad 4 will have a faster method of unlocking, although personally I would have found it interesting a double possibility of unlocking, perhaps even including the fingerprint sensor on the front, so as to revise the design of the tablet. That said on the net have also started to leak some indications regarding the price as well as the future Mi Pad 4 will come in two variants, one of which 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which provides only WiFi connectivity and will be offered at the price of 1499 yuan, about 197 euro. The last variant is definitely more interesting, as we will have 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, WiFi connectivity and LTE module to 1999 yuan, about 264 euro at current exchange rate. Of course, this information is not official and in any case conflicting with other leakers, such as the Indian ones that instead provide 3 versions of the 4 Mi Pad, but in the following denominations: 3 / 32, 4 / 64 and 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage with module LTE.
