Well, today the Chinese giant revealed the main features of the new router which will be able to reach a wireless speed of 6000 megabytes, the highest ever achieved by a router produced by Xiaomi.
So let's start with the hardware. The Xiaomi Mi Router AX6000 adopts a Qualcomm IPQ5018 processor with an independent NPU core and support for hardware acceleration, which allows for an increased data forwarding speed of about 80%. We then have 512MB of built-in memory, designed for multi-device networking, a stable connection, and fast response at any time.
In terms of appearance, the overall design is similar to the previous Mi Router AX3600. The top, sides and bottom of the fuselage are equipped with heat dissipation holes, which form a channel for the heat to circulate quickly.
For antennas, the router is equipped with an independent AIoT antenna that can intelligently detect surrounding devices and provide network configuration with one click. While for cable connections, we have one 0/100/1000 / 2500M adaptive WAN / LAN port, one 10/100 / 1000M adaptive WAN / LAN port and two 10/100 / 1000M adaptive LAN ports.
From a gaming point of view, the Xiaomi Mi Router AX6000 supports both Tencent and NetEase, two game accelerators, offering respectively a free premium subscription for 108 days and 90 days for a complete coverage of multi-terminal games such as consoles, portable consoles, PCs and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
In addition, Xiaomi's AX6000 router also supports the Xiaomi Mesh network. Then it is possible to create a MESH network between previously released routers and the new router just launched.
Finally, in terms of price, the Mi Router AX6000 has a price of 599 yuan in China, about 75 euros at the current exchange rate, and will go on sale from 8 January.
