As we told you earlier, today the presentation of the new generation of Xiaomi Mi TVs was held. To our surprise, however, not just a TV was presented, but a total of five ranging from the 32 inches to the ultra thin 65 television ″.
Specifically we have the Xiaomi Mi TV 32 ″ with HD resolution (then 720p), the Xiaomi Mi TV 43 ″ with Full HD resolution, the Mi TV 55 ″ with 4K UHD resolution and the Mi TV 65 ″ with 4K UHD resolution. Finally, there is the Xiaomi Mi TV 65 ″ Mural which adopts an 4K panel manufactured by Samsung for a visual experience at the highest levels.
Xiaomi Mi TV from 32 ″ to 65 ″ and Mi TV Mural presented
All Mi TVs adopt a design that Xiaomi calls "Full Screen" (yes, like that of smartphones) and in fact it uses a different technology with regard to the TV chassis. As we can see in the picture above, in fact, the frame does not overlap the screen, but the screen rests on the chassis to eliminate all the edges (except the lower one).
The Mi TV 65 ″ Mural then has the back completely flat and is only 13,9 mm thick, we talk about the total thickness. So in practice it can be used almost like a wall painting, hence the name "Mural".
As for the other features instead, each TV has a processor and different memory configurations. The 32 TV ″ has a quad core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, the TV from 43 ″ instead has 8GB of internal memory and HDR 10 functionality, the TV from 55 ″ receives an upgrade in RAM to 2GB and the presence of WiFi at 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, the same applies to the Mi TV from 65 ″. While the Mi TV Mural wins well 32GB of internal memory.
Among the other innovations we then have a new remote control with Bluetooth technology, which therefore does not need to be directed to the TV to function. Furthermore, the remote control has a button to operate the Xiaomi voice assistant which can then be used to change channels or start different applications; this in conjunction with the updated PatchWall operating system.
Finally, let's see the prices (in China) of the various TVs. Let's start with the 32 inch which costs 1099 Yuan (145 €), the 43 ″ instead costs 1999 Yuan (265 €), the Xiaomi Mi TV 55 ″ can be had for 2999 Yuan (397 €) and Mi TV 65 ″ for 530 € .
While regarding the Xiaomi Mi TV 65 ″ Mural, this will cost 6999 Yuan well, or 930 €. A premium price for a niche product and in any case relatively "cheap" compared to similar devices from other brands.
But do they come to my stores?
Question: can we Italians buy it? Do I have TV tuner problems or anything ?!
Probably, not being marketed in Europe, they will still have decoders suitable only for China.
Not bad for the 70% of us who use the decoder (sky and similar) to watch all the channels. But for those who do not use decoders or external boxes, the TV is a bit castrated.
