One of those products that has always intrigued me, is it Xiaomi Mi Tv Box, which from today receives the expected update to Android 8.0 Oreo on Android TV base, globally. The announcement was not issued officially but browsing the web are already many people who talk about this update, which has a weight of about 616 MB and that always according to the users, brings few innovations that contribute to improve e make the graphical interface more modern as well as the Google assistant is introduced. The interesting thing is that the Mi TV Box has never received the update to Nougat, so it was forced a generational leap not indifferent. On the other hand, the upgrade to Oreo was in the air as time had been released a public beta just for the Xiaomi entertainment device.

As mentioned a few lines above, the news seem to concern only the graphical interface of the Mi TV Box, while it is not clear if there are additional features or simply if some bugs of the previous firmware version have been fixed. It is clear instead that the integrated Google assistant opens up a vast world of potential, on which developers can try their hand. Furthermore, it seems that the HDR function and PIP mode (picture-in-picture), as well as the control of their devices via the Mi TV Box and avision optimization for 4K content.
Apparently Xiaomi seems to be finally some gaps that distinguished it in a negative sense, such as the fact of updating certain products in a very slow way. And if this has been true in part until today, the company has definitely taken control of the situation getting better day by day, also thanks to the partnership between the Chinese technology giant with Google, through Android One projects for smartphones. In fact, the Mi TV Box was presented in the 2016 during the annual Google I / O developer conference.
However, the TV box me, already in the Android version 6 is a cool one, like almost all the products of mom MI I tried, if I can use the Gallicism.
