The Xiaomi Mi Watch presented in November of last year is a high-performance smartwatch with a 1,78-inch AMOLED screen and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100. The wearable went on sale in China right away, while the global version does not has never been officially mentioned by Xiaomi.

Well, today the situation seems to finally change. The financial director and international president of Xiaomi, Shou Zi Chew, would have just stated, in a live interview on the official profile of Xiaomi Deutschland, that the Xiaomi Mi Watch is coming in its Global version. We can watch part of this somewhat alternative interview in the video just above.
In addition, we would like to clarify that Shou Zi Chew has not only said that there will be the Mi Watch Global, but also that it will soon arrive in Europe. We would add that the presentation of the device would most probably have had to take place tomorrow, at the event that anticipated the start of the MWC, but which due to the cancellation of the fair will no longer take place.
In any case, the Global version of the Mi Watch shouldn't differ much from the Chinese one. This means that we will find the excellent Snapdragon Wear 3100 mentioned previously that powers a 1,78-inch diagonal AMOLED display with a ratio of 326PPI (Pixel per Inch) and a total size of 44mm.
We then have a large 570mAh battery, which thanks to the very efficient chipset manages to bring up to 36 hours of autonomy and there is no lack of WiFi and Bluetooth, in addition to the very useful NFC module to be able to make payments directly from the smartwatch.

As for materials, on the other hand, we have an aluminum alloy case with a matte finish and created with a high-precision sandblasting process. We then find a layer of glass at the top with curved edges and finally a ceramic back cover for a more premium look & feel. The straps are instead in an anti-sweat and anti-bacterial rubber to avoid possible rashes.
Finally, the Mi Watch adopts a GPS module, a third generation heart beat sensor, compass, barometer, a six-axis motion sensor and the FIRSTBEAT algorithm for analyzing the state of our health, including the amount of oxygen in the blood.
The Xiaomi Mi Watch was launched in China at the price of 1299 Yuan, or about 160 euros. Most likely the Global version will be slightly more expensive, but at the moment we have no official info about it.
