Although presented in November of last year, it is Xiaomi Mi Watch it is still a difficult device to recommend, both for the prices not yet super cheap, and for the lack of a global version. Having said that, the brand still seems very active in China, releasing new monthly updates that correct some bugs and at the same time add missing features.
Xiaomi Mi Watch: Update with 4 new features arriving tomorrow
In particular, in the update arriving tomorrow via OTA on the Mi Watch, we will find four new features, these include:
- "Body Energy Monitoring", therefore the possibility of monitoring our energy;
- Blood pressure monitoring;
- Functionality to improve breathing;
- New mode of notification of new messages, the screen turns on automatically and the message is shown.
So Xiaomi has added a lot of features for sports lovers, but also for those who use the smartwatch mainly to quickly check the notifications.
Let's now recap some of the main specifications of the first smartwatch developed and produced by Xiaomi. Starting with the 1,78-inch AMOLED display and with a ratio of 326PPI (Pixel per Inch). We also have a GPS module, a third generation heart beat sensor, compass, barometer, a six-axis motion sensor and the FIRSTBEAT algorithm for analyzing the state of our health, including the amount of oxygen in the blood.
As for the materials used, we have an aluminum alloy case with a matte finish and created with a high-precision sandblasting process. We then find a layer of glass at the top with curved edges and finally a ceramic back cover for a more premium look & feel. The straps are instead in an anti-sweat and anti-bacterial rubber to avoid possible rashes.
Finally, the Mi Watch runs with MIUI For Watch, or a version of the Xiaomi home operating system with a modified interface for use on a smartwatch.
But does the Chinese version support the English language?
Do we know anything about the arrival of a global version?
No, still nothing unfortunately.
