Xiaomi Mi 9 and Redmi K2O Pro receive the beta of Android Q

We come to know everything from a official announcement on the Weibo channel of MIUI which, just yesterday, announced the release of the tenth Android distribution. After then recruiting beta testers (announcements , promising e , promising) Xiaomi proceeded with the release of an update via OTA rather chubby, than 2.4GB, which took place on the Chinese beta MIUI 10.9.8.8. The information reported by the update is varied, including, oddly enough, a renewal of early security patches: in fact those of are reported September, with an advance of 20 days well. The reason is oblivious to us, but let's continue with the other news.

It would finally be introduced definitively the much sought after Dark Mode for the entire system (and not for individual apps like it happened through small updates with Pie). In addition to this, which is the most important novelty, the other features concern the global updates on status bar, multitasking, lock screen and small bug fixes.

As said, for now the release concerns Mi 9 and K2O Pro in China version. However, this is an encouraging sign for all users who are waiting for this version with so much anxiety, especially for the revolutionary dark system mode. We will keep you updated but know in any case what it is for most Xiaomi Android Q devices will arrive by the end of the 2019, excluding Redmi Note 7 and 7 Pro who will be the only ones to receive it for the first quarter of the 2020.

Only the Mi Mix 3, which was among the leading devices that would have supported Android Q first: all that remains is to wait a few days.

Hello!
One aspect of your article intrigues me ... and maybe you can enlighten me.
How is it possible to think that the “Mi Mix 2” can receive Android Q within the current year if they are only releasing Pie on this device these days?

In the past, with different devices, Xiaomi has made the leap of release by bypassing a version of Android ... and there could be going from 8 to 10 (always taking the example of the Mi Mix 2) ... but then it is not clear to me why work on the 9.
