After launching quite a few new products yesterday, today the Chinese giant Xiaomi presented the new one Mijia Dictionary Pen. The new product will be crowdfunded on the official Xiaomi Mall store at the special price of 699 yuan (95 euros), while its list price will be 799 yuan, out of 110 euros at current exchange rates.

The new product features laser scanning, over 15 million thesaurus entries, fast recognition system and accurate translation, both translator and recorder functions, and multilingual translation.
Going into detail, the new Mijia Dictionary Pen is equipped with an 8 megapixel camera in the back that supports multi-angle scanning that can read text quickly from above. We then find a laser in the lower part that supports the translation of text over several lines and up to a full page.
The recognition rate of Chinese and English text 0CR of Mijia Dictionary Pen is 99%, and the accuracy rate of online/offline translation is said to be comparable to that of systems in use in the West.
The product has over 15 million Chinese and English entries, which includes professional-grade Chinese and English sources such as “Oxford Advanced English-Chinese Dictionary” 9th edition, “Golden Mountain Powerword”, “Students' Modern Chinese Standard Dictionary”, “ Chinese Idioms Dictionary”, “Students'. The “Old Chinese Dictionary” offline mode is also supported.
The Mijia Dictionary Pen also supports outputting recorded contents to external app, which allows for editing, online sharing and printing. So if we find errors in the titles or sentences, especially with proper names, it will be possible to fix everything from the app.
