Xiaomi presented the new Mijia Downlight 2 Bluetooth Mesh Edition and Spotlight 2 Bluetooth Mesh Edition, two smart lighting solutions designed to improve the home experience. Available in China starting today, the downlight is sold at 39,9 yuan (about 5 euros), while the spotlight has a price of 79 yuan (about 10 euros).

One of the most relevant aspects of these new devices is the presence of a light source with color rendering index Ra95, designed to faithfully reproduce colors and improve visual comfort. Furthermore, both versions are RG0 certified for photobiological safety, eliminating the risk of eye fatigue or damage. Thanks to zero visible flicker technology, the light emitted is free of flickering, thus reducing eye fatigue during prolonged exposures.
The two solutions offer a Luminous flux of 350lm for the downlight and 300lm for the spotlight, ensuring effective and uniform lighting. Both support continuous adjustment of the color temperature, from 2700K to 5700K, allowing you to adapt the light to different environmental and personal needs. The brightness is also fully adjustable, allowing you to create personalized atmospheres with maximum flexibility.

From a design point of view, the new devices adopt a 31,5mm deep cup structure, reducing the risk of glare thanks to a UGR (Unified Glare Rating) of less than 13. The opaque diffuser panel ensures uniform and comfortable lighting. In addition, the spotlight offers an adjustment angle of 0-25°, making it ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, entrances and other areas of the home.
The real innovation of these devices lies in their integrated intelligence. Both versions support Bluetooth Mesh protocol, which allows you to connect multiple lights together to create coordinated lighting throughout your home. When paired with a Xiaomi gateway, users can manage groups of lights and set up smart scenarios directly from the Mijia app, via voice control, or even via automatic adjustment based on ambient brightness.

Thanks to the integration with the Xiaomi HyperOS Connect system, the new devices can connect to other smart home products, creating an interconnected ecosystem. For example, you can turn off the lights with a voice command or synchronize the lighting with other smart devices to obtain a perfectly automated environment.
From the point of view of energy consumption, the Mijia Downlight 2 has a power of 4,8W, While the Spotlight 2 reaches 5,5W, ensuring low consumption without compromising the quality of lighting. In addition, both devices support the gradual on and off function, avoiding strong instantaneous light stimulation and further improving visual comfort.
