The Chinese technology giant, Xiaomi, has just presented a new product on Youpin's crowdfunding platform. As you may have already understood from the title we are talking about a new electric screwdriver with a list price of 199 Yuan but that will be sold to 159 Yuan (20 €) during the crowdfunding campaign.
The name of the screwdriver is Mijia Electric Screwdriver 3.6V is and already one of the best selling gadgets of all time. In fact, with only 56 minutes from loading on the site, there were already over 10 thousand reservations. Now we are at over six million Yuan, far beyond the target set by Xiaomi.

The most interesting feature of the Mijia electric screwdriver is the power available, in fact we talk about 5Nm (newton meter) of strength. This is enough to disassemble most of the items that we find ourselves at home like furniture, televisions, PC and other electronic products. Furthermore, according to Xiaomi, it is rare to find an 3.6V screwdriver with this strength, so it is a quite premium and particular device.
The Mijia Electric Screwdriver 3.6V comes with a large 2000mAh built-in battery, again a strength of the screwdriver. In fact, most similar devices have batteries ranging from 1300 to 1500mAh of internal capacity instead. In real use, we can screw over 200 screws with a single refill, which equates to 10 large libraries.
The Mijia screwdriver adopts an innovative design patented by the brand, with no externally visible screws. The body was instead created with high quality plastic for excellent heat resistance and impact in the event of falls.
Then there is a knob in the back that allows you to change the direction of rotation. Moving it to the L on the left it will turn counter-clockwise, on the right on the R clockwise, while at the center the rotation will be blocked. Finally, we have three LEDs located on the front that create a small ring-shaped strip, this will help the user to screw or unscrew even in low light conditions.
As for the tips, we find 12 types created with high quality metals (S2) and with hardness of HRC60, they are therefore more refined and durable. Furthermore S2 steel is more difficult to ruin even if used incorrectly and in case of breakage it breaks without creating potentially dangerous powders.
Although the Mijia Electric Screwdriver 3.6V is probably one of the most interesting electric screwdrivers on the market, the crowdfunding price is, as mentioned above, only 159, or about 20 euros.
