Xiaomi never ceases to surprise and even in this hot August weekend it amazes us with a new one gadgets really unexpected. As you may have already understood from the title we are in fact talking about a new LCD whiteboard, the Xiaomi Mijia LCD Blackboard.
The Xiaomi Mijia LCD Blackboard will go into a crowdfunding campaign starting today on the Xiaomi Youpin platform, after seven days of fundraising (actually a presale more than anything else), it will be possible to buy the product on the official Xiaomi website (Chinese ) and on Youpin itself. The board will be available in two variants from 10 inches and 13,5 inches, with prices ranging from 49 Yuan (6 €) to 99 Yuan (about 13 €). The price of the larger variant, however, will see a discount during the crowdfunding campaign for a final price of only 79 Yuan (on 10 €).

The new Mijia slate adopts the typical design of Xiaomi products, that is a very minimal and white color look. This style allows you to use the product in any context, whether it is work, home or even to let your children play.
The Xiaomi Mijia LCD Blackboard has an excellent "screen" / chassis ratio thanks to its relatively thin edges, while the magnetic pen supplied is ultra-light at just 7 grams in weight. According to the creators, the product does not accumulate dust and does not emit annoying blue light for the human eye, so we can use it to take notes or draw without worrying about any side effects.
The Mijia blackboard has a body in ABS material with rounded corners, which makes it light and easy to carry. While the LCD screen uses a special film that increases the contrast of the colors and improves the feeling when we write / draw; Xiaomi says that one almost has the feeling of writing on a sheet of paper. Finally, the magnetic pen incorporates four neodymium iron and boron magnets, so that it remains attached to the blackboard once resting.
We have left the strong point for last, that is autonomy. The Xiaomi Mijia LCD Blackboard can indeed work for a whole year without being recharged because only very little energy is used when the screen is "cleaned". In the 365 days of the statistics 100 "cleaning" per day is included. When the slate is completely discharged it will be necessary to change the internal button battery (no cable recharge unfortunately).
In conclusion, the Mijia LCD Blackboard will not be an innovative product, but thanks to its modern design and competitive price it could conquer the sector.
