Xiaomi just launched the new Mijia Vacuum-Mopping Robot M40S, an advanced home cleaning device that integrates powerful suction, intelligent mopping and an automated base. The robot will be available for sale from May 13 at 20:00, with a price of 2.999 yuan (about 385 euros) for the version with a standard water tank and 3.699 yuan (about 475 euros) for the version with a water supply base.

From an aesthetic and structural point of view, the Vacuum-Mopping Robot M40S features a revisited design compared to the previous model M40, with a integrated supply base which makes it even more practical. For the first time in this category, Xiaomi has developed a Built-in charging and refueling system, which takes up just 420mm x 450mm x 280mm, allowing it to be easily hidden inside furniture, under sinks and other spaces.
La automated base manages the water inlet and outlet, with automatic addition of detergent, eliminating the need for manual intervention after each use. Simply refill the tank periodically.
One of the distinctive features of the Mijia Vacuum-Mopping Robot M40S is its mopping function washing with hot water, which reaches a temperature of 80°C to ensure more effective cleaning. After washing, the system starts a drying process with hot air for two hours, avoiding water residues and reducing the risk of bad odors and bacteria.
The base is also equipped with a “double scraping and washing arm”, which removes dirt from the mop surface as the mop itself is washed, preventing stain build-up and improving the overall quality of cleaning.
Once the cleaning cycle is finished, the robot returns to the base, where the system automatically collects dust and dirt accumulated in the internal tank, transferring it to a dust bag that needs to be emptied just once every 75 days, making the maintenance process extremely simple.
On the technological front, Xiaomi has improved the navigation of the Mijia Vacuum-Mopping Robot M40S with a High precision laser systeme. The robot uses a Automatic laser navigation lifting system, which allows it to reduce its height when it encounters low areas, thus achieving a thickness of only 8,8 cm, ideal for cleaning under beds, sofas and furniture.
The scanning technology uses a dual-line stereo laser system, which detects obstacles in real time, combining with on-board sensors to precisely measure distances and calculate the best cleaning path.
One of the most advanced aspects of the Mijia Vacuum-Mopping Robot M40S is the Record suction power of 23.000Pa, which allows you to effectively remove dust, debris and hair from any surface.
The robot is equipped with a main brush with double blade for cutting hair, that sucks up and breaks down long hair to avoid blockages and accumulations. The anti-tangle side brush reduces the need for manual maintenance, making the robot even more autonomous.
Thanks to the system of side brushes and retractable mops, the Mijia Vacuum-Mopping Robot M40S is able to clean corners and edges with extreme precision, automatically extending the brushes when it detects hard-to-reach areas. This ensures that even the dirt along the walls is eliminated with a millimetric cleaning.
