Xiaomi MiPad: technical features and hands-on videos

Xiaomi finally decided to present a long awaited product also by her fans here in Italy; in fact, the 15 Maggio in China was presented, the first tablet by Xiaomi, a new product that will bring the company to have certainly great successes in the field of tablets.

The MiPad, a diagonal 7.9 tablet, is a product that has really left us open for the well done work and for the hardware that was installed inside it; we find a very powerful Nvidia Tegra K1 processor overclocked to 2.2 GHZ with 192 Cuda Core dedicated to graphics, the first of its kind installed on a tablet, which will provide both graphically and truly exceptional performance at all, surpassing all current processors used on Android devices getting a score of about 44000 on Antutu.

The performance was comparable to that of the modern gaming consoles, and Nvidia itself points to it in the following promo video:

The MiPad will definitely be a "lasting" tablet thanks to the full support that Xiaomi provides to its devices by updating them weekly and always reducing the bugs in the Miui software to a minimum.

All this power was enclosed in a gorgeous display with 2K resolution (a really sensible solution for a tablet) powered by a battery from 6100 MAH. Additionally, to expand the internal memory 16 or 64GB, there will be a micro sd slot that reads memory cards up to 128 GB.

The lack of presence of the 3G module has left us a little disappointed, but we think the tablet will support the OTG and then insert an internet sticker to be able to surf the net.

Here's the MiPad promotional video uploaded on the official YouTube channel:

While here the first Hands-On video:

As you have surely noticed in the video, the tablet will be sold in 6 color variants, Black, White, Pink, Celeste, Green and Yellow, following a bit of work with the Xiaomi Mi3 available in different colors.

Looking closely at the promotional video of the tablet, we have noticed a slight resemblance to the "low-cost" product (let's say) Apple, the iPhone 5C, as Xiaomi matched a backdrop of the same color on the back cover but it would have been a pure case.

We strongly hope that the tablet will not land on our store (we think it will be available by mid June) and above all in our hands so that we can read it for you readers.

What do you think of this MiPad?

Are you looking forward to seeing it in action?
