Xiaomi MiTV PRO - The new generation of MITV presented today

Not only MIX ALPHA e Mi9 PRO at this morning's presentation! Here is the new generation of MiTV... simply BEAUTIFUL!

Yes, I know, we all looked forward to this presentation to learn about the technical characteristics of the new one Mi9 PRO and very much Xiaomi MIX ALPHA, but to begin the event it was chosen to present the new generation of Xiaomi's Smart TV. Welcome MiTV PRO!

3 models were presented in three different formats: diagonal 43 ″, 55 ″ and 65 ″.

All models are equipped with an 4K panel for maximum image detail.

But the thing that leaves most of everything with an open mouth is the further reduction of frames already thin in the previous generation.

We arrived at a Body Ratio of 97%

The technical characteristics are always closer to those of Top of the range smartphone compared to "simple" TV.

Possibility to reproduce fluidly video streams up to 8K thanks to A55 Amlogic T972 quad-core processor at 64-bit with a clock frequency up to 1,9 GHz.
This processor is manufactured with a 12nm FinFET process which guarantees it high performances it's a very low energy consumption.

If we add ourselves also 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, the evolution to BIG Smartphone is completed.

Not for nothing is it true Smart TV with lots of proprietary operating system (hopefully at least in the English language), LAN and WIFI connectivity, Bluetooth and the classic HDMI ports (3 ports) and USB (2 ports)

It obviously supports Dolby audio and the possibility of connecting external high fidelity audio systems.

Prices?

  • Mi TV Pro 43 ″ at 1.499 yuan (190 around euro)
  • Mi TV Pro 55 ″ at 2.399 yuan (300 around euro)
  • Mi TV Pro 65 ″ at 3.399 yuan (434 around euro)

The doubts (almost bitter certainties) remain on the type of decoder equipped by these specimens.

But basically, those of us who don't use decoders today (see sky and the like) or smartbox?

What do you think?
