As you may know, Xiaomi has unveiled its first vertical foldable phone, the Mix Flip, in July 2024. Now, his successor, the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2, is already making people talk about it with numerous rumors and effectively confirming that the device is on its way.
Xiaomi MIX Flip 2: Here are the latest rumors from China

According to a report by XiaomiTime, the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 will feature the same 8000MP OV50 main sensor and 32MP OV40B32 front camera as its predecessor. However, it looks like the device will ditch the 50MP telephoto lens in favor of a Samsung S5KJN5 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
Also, a recent leak from the tipster ExperienceMore on Weibo (the Chinese Threads) confirms these details about the camera and adds that the MIX Flip 2 will have a IPX8 certification and support for the wireless charging, features absent from its predecessor. The tipster also mentions a larger battery, and a report this week suggests it could pack a 5.600mAh or 5.700mAh battery. Considering the original Flip had a 4.780mAh battery, this would be a notable improvement, especially given the limited space that clamshell foldable phones have to accommodate larger batteries.

Apart from the camera and battery details, some previous reports have shed light on other specifications of the phone. The MIX Flip 2 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and will likely be thinner than its predecessor. For context, the Xiaomi MIX Flip is already pretty thin at just 7,6mm thick.
Finally, we recall that in August, the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 was spotted with model numbers 2505APX7BC and 2505APX7BG in the GSMA IMEI database. The former is believed to represent the Chinese model, while the latter is likely the global variant. The “2505” prefix suggests that the foldable could be launched in May 2025 (the fifth month of the year).
We just have to wait for further leaks or who knows the first official info!
