As we know, last week Xiaomi presented its first clamshell smartphone, the MIX Flips. Although company representatives did not want to publicly discuss an international launch, confirmation arrived today that the device will also arrive outside of China.

A Xiaomi manager revealed during a press conference that five markets in Central and Eastern Europe will be among the first to receive the phone, which it will have a price of around €1.300. A fairly high price considering that the latest Samsung Z Flip 6 is priced at €1.279 and the moto razr 50 Ultra is priced at €1.199.
Let's now remember the specifications of the MIX, which is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 4 inch external displaythe. The internal folding panel is a 6,86-inch OLED with a peak brightness of 3.000 nits and supports a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. The rear screen wraps around your cameras, both 50 MP: One is the main camera with PDAF and OIS, while the other is a telephoto portrait camera with 2x optical zoom and PDAF.
The Xiaomi MIX Flip is designed to be extremely light and portable. When closed, it is as large as the palm of your hand, weighs just 192g and is 7,6mm thick (glass version). This makes it 19g lighter and 2,7mm thinner than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, setting a new standard for portability.
The device is available in four classic colors: black, white, ghost purple and Xiaomi Phoenix Feather Fiber Edition. The black glass version uses sandblasted AG technology, which provides a delicate and smooth feel without leaving fingerprints. The white version uses flash sand technology, which gives a more dynamic look, while the ghost purple version is full of style.
In any case, the Mix Flip positions itself as an interesting option in the foldable smartphone market, combining an elegant design with high-level technical specifications. It will be interesting to see how it will perform compared to competitors once available on the Italian market.
