The launch conference of the Xiaomi 13 series will be held tomorrow, but not only. According to what has just been revealed by the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, another smartphone will make its debut, these are two new variants of the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, the folding screen device of the Chinese brand.

According to official sources, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will be presented in two new colors: Moonlight Silver and Xuanye Black, both with a matte finish and a glossy finish.
From the photos we can see that the top camera area has a beautiful mirrored surface, while the bottom, which is often in contact with the hand, still maintains an understated matte design, for an excellent tactile feel.
In particular, the camera module has been created with a physical vapor deposition process on the surface of the lens, resulting in an extremely shiny metallic finish that blends perfectly with the rest of the smartphone.
It's worth noting that the Xuanye Black version was made of glass and not ceramic, but still achieves a nice effect with the skin-like matte part.
As for the specifications, the new color schemes come with the same hardware as the previous ones, this means that we find an internal screen of 8,02 inches, with a resolution of 2160*1914 and supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The size of the external screen is 6,56 inches and the aspect ratio of the screen is 21:9, again with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Then we have a self-developed third-generation bending technology with water micro-drop shape rotating shaft, the number of rotating components is reduced to 87, which greatly improves the level of integration. The thickness of the smartphone is 11,2 mm, practically as much as the iPhone 13 Pro Max with case. After unfolding, the thickness reaches 5,4 mm and the weight is only 262 g.
