Xiaomi is preparing to revolutionize the smartphone market again with its upcoming foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4". The device, which promises to be the thinnest ever made in the foldable category, recently obtained the TENAA certification, the Chinese certification body.

The model in question, identified by number 24072PX77C, has passed the network access certification of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The phone supports NR SA/NR NSA/TD-LTE/LTE FDD/WCDMA/CDMA 1X/GSM standards, as well as Tiantong satellite connectivity and Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) technology. The latter, a category of 5G services, promises increased bandwidth and reduced latency compared to 4G services, paving the way for new applications that require high data transfer rates, such as 8K video streaming and virtual reality ( VR) and augmented (AR) immersive.
According to what was revealed by leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the model number corresponds to the MIX Fold 4. The device could also support 5.5G or 5G-Advanced, considered the next step in the evolution of 5G technology, with expected improvements in speed, latency and efficiency.
The MIX Fold 4 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which equips many of the latest flagship models, such as the Xiaomi 14 series. To support the chipset, the phone is said to have a battery 5000mAh (consisting of a 2390mAh battery and a 2485mAh battery). It will offer both wired and wireless fast charging, although the specific charging speed has not yet been confirmed. According to a previous leak from Digital Chat Station, the phone will offer a fast wired charging upgraded to 100W. Recall that the MIX Fold 3 it offered fast wired charging at 67W and wireless at 50W.
As for the photographic sector, the MIX Fold 4 should offer a 50MP quad-camera setup including a 5X periscope telephoto lens, similar to its predecessor. The main sensor and ultra-wide angle on the MIX Fold 4 could be the OV50E and OV13B respectively. The MIX Fold 3 offers a 3.2x telephoto lens and a 5x periscope telephoto lens.
