After years of waiting, Xiaomi has finally unveiled a smartphone that can compete with the most prestigious top gamers, such as Galaxy S7 Edge and Huawei's P9 series. I Note 2 is official and expectations have not been ignored.
Starting from the look, Mi Note 2 adopts the "dual curve" design, similar to that of Note 7. However, the latter cannot compete with the new Xiaomi model, due to the big battery problems, and this allows Mi Note 2 to shine. The 3D glass, present both in the front and in the back, accompanied by the Aerospace grade 7 aluminum frame, guarantees great solidity and allows a firm and comfortable grip. There are two colors available: Glacier Silver and Bright Black.
The company explained that using 3D glass together with an LCD display is far from simple, which is why Mi Note 2 adopts an innovative flexible OLED display that extends to the sides and merges smoothly with the glass in the front. Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi, said that the cost of this particular screen is six times that of a common 5,5 ″ Full HD LCD panel. The screen-to-frame ratio is 77.2%, better than that of the iPhone 7 Plus (67.7%). The color gamut of the display is 110% NTSC, while the contrast rate is 100,000: 1.
The hardware sector of the Mi Note 2 is of the highest level. The Soc adopted is the 821GHz Snapdragon 2.35. The memory is not lacking, thanks to the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM UFS 2.0. The power supply of the Mi Note 2 is entrusted to a 4070mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. Another standout feature is the audio quality, provided by the AQSTIC HD processor. The smartphone is also equipped with NFC, with payments made thanks to the fingerprint sensor, as well as improved GPS technology. The photographic sector is of considerable workmanship. On the back there is the 318 Mpx IMX22,56 EXMOR RS sensor, equipped with PDAF and f / 2.0 aperture. Image stabilization is entrusted to the 3-axis gyroscope and EIS technology. At the front we find the 268 Mpx IMX8 EXMOR RS sensor with built-in autofocus.
Despite the dual curve screen and the very high quality hardware sector, Xiaomi has decided to keep the prices relatively low.

The latest of the three available versions is the one that arouses the most interest in international buyers, as it is the only one to support 37 LTE bands. Mi Note 2 will be available starting Tuesday 1 November.
