Xiaomi Ocooker, the retro-style multifunction electric pot

When it seems that Xiaomi has already launched every kind of devil on its crowdfunding platform, here comes a multifunction electric pot in retro style: the Xiaomi Ocooker.

The Xiaomi Ocooker is a very interesting tool for those who enjoy cooking at home and would like a little help to make the whole process slightly faster and "automated". The Ocooker is composed of three main components: the underlying base which heats as configured, the pan where the food is inserted and the glass lid for faster and more complete cooking.

The Xiaomi multi-purpose pot is probably one of the least complicated home accessories and we also add less smart. As you can see in the picture above there is in fact only one switch that goes from left to right depending on the type of cooking required.

In the first position the electric pot will be completely turned off, in the second the pot is brought to a temperature ranging from 60 to 80 degrees, useful for keeping food heated at the right temperature. Then we have the option to bring the pot between the 120 and 140 degrees, in this case you are at the perfect temperature for cooking crepes, fried dumplings, pancakes and more, and finally you can cook at temperatures between 170 and 210 degrees food like pork chops, steaks and much more.

The Ocooker electric cooker uses two "U" shaped resistors that are able to cook the elements at 360 degrees, leading to a more homogeneous cooking. While the pan is available in two colors: black and white, both obviously covered with a layer of non-stick material to not attack any food and a quick cleaning with only water.

Finally, the Xiaomi Ocooker has an initial power of 1000 Watt, up to a maximum of 1300W when used at the highest setting. It is now in the crowdfunding campaign at 379 Yuan, about 47 €.
