3 reasons why Xiaomi's MiOS operating system does not exist

A few days ago we spoke, unfortunately, of one fake News colossal: the one according to which Xiaomi would stand for launch its own operating system called MiOS. The news, as we have seen, is nothing but a big hoax and we have brought various evidence to prove it. However, the prepared developer of MIUIPolska Kacper Skrzypek rightly has raised new evidence. Let's see them together.

Let's dig deep: why won't Xiaomi make and need a MiOS operating system?

Before we begin, let's remember that Kacper Skrzypek is a former XDA Devlopers developer as well as a member and translator of Xiaomi.eu. Currently in the panorama of Xiaomi's MIUI interface and smartphones in general, he is undoubtedly a landmark. But having said that, let's start over. Despite the lack of news about the MiOS project, the topic of “Xiaomi's operating system” is resurfaced on the CoolAPK website in November 2022, during a break between the releases of MIUI 13 and MIUI 14. A few days ago, the second appearance of the news. But there are three reasons why the existence of MiOS doesn't make sense.

mias xiaomi operating system

1st reason: Xiaomi is not in the same condition as Huawei

Fortunately, at the moment there is no indication that Xiaomi is at risk of losing access to Google services, unlike Huawei, another Chinese tech giant. While it's possible that other Chinese smartphone makers could become targets of the ongoing US-China trade war, it's not certain that MiOS is Xiaomi's solution to this potential problem. This does not mean that Xiaomi cannot become a future in the future new target of the so-called “Cold War” (using the developer's terms) technological.

2nd reason: why develop MiOS and MIUI together?

Assuming that MiOS is indeed under development, one wonders why Xiaomi is still developing MIUI. The company it will replace MIUI with the new system or will he gradually withdraw from the development of the same? Also, if MiOS were released outside of China, it would create a strange situation where the same device could have two different operating systems. These uncertainties and doubts make it difficult to tell whether MiOS is a reality or just a rumor. Indeed, it is quite clear.

2nd reason: in which market would this MiOS be available?

Another doubt that raises Kacper Skrzypek is the one related to the availability of the ROM, or rather of the alleged operating system. This MiOS would it be released globally or only in China? And even if it were only released for one or the other market, what would be the point? It would mean having developers (and not a few) working on both one and the other project whereas the MIUI you can simply "lean" on the Android operating system which is open source.

In short, you will understand by yourself that this is a big hoax dating back to almost 10 years ago.
