Today a new Xiaomi tablet with model number 22081281AC has obtained 3C certification in China and from what we can see on the certification page, the tablet supports 67W wired fast charging. The tablet in question may come under the name of Xiaomi Hall 6.
Xiaomi Pad 6 certified in China: possible launch in August with Snapdragon 888
Previously, the well-known Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station had given the news that the Xiaomi Pad 6 series would come in two options: a standard version and a high-end version. The standard version should use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 mid-range processor, while the high-end version should use the (last year's) flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
Recall that the Snapdragon 870 adopts a TSMC 7 nm manufacturing process and inside it we find a Cortex A77 big core with a main frequency of 3,2 GHz. The Snapdragon 888 instead uses a 5 nm manufacturing process from Samsung, it has a super core Cortex X1 and a big core Cortex A78, therefore clearly more performing than the Snapdragon 870, but the latter asserts itself anyway.
Furthermore, the Snapdragon 888 integrates a 5G baseband (the Snapdragon 870 requires an external 5G baseband) and it appears that the high-end version of the Xiaomi Pad 6 series supports 5G networks.
It is worth noting that the Mi Pad 6 series will be pre-installed with the MIUI for Pad system to support cross-screen collaboration. It is expected that there will be several dedicated accessories such as a stylus and a smart keyboard.
Finally, as far as release times are concerned, the leakster Digital Chat Station has stated that the Xiaomi Pad 6 series will not debut at the Xiaomi 12S series conference on July 4th, so it is speculated that it may be released around the month of August.
