Xiaomi Pad 6 series coming in April with these processors
This was revealed by the well-known Chinese leakster "Wisdom Pikachu" who on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter) declared that the Xiaomi Pad 6 series will be released by April. Adding that the design will be similar to that of the Pad 5 series and that it will be available in two versions: the basic version and the Pro version. We also know that the standard version has the code name "pipa", while the high-end version has the code name “liuqin”.
As for the specifications, the standard version of the Pad 6 series is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip and the Pro version is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ processor. Compared to the previous generation, the processor of the standard version of the Pad 6 remains unchanged, while the performance of the Pro version has been significantly improved.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chip is indeed a very advanced and high-performance chip built with TSMC's 4nm manufacturing process, with the main frequency of the super-large core increased to 3,2GHz. the Snapdragon 8+ also sees improvements in terms of energy consumption compared to its predecessor.
The company said that CPU power consumption has been reduced by around 30% compared to the Snapdragon 8 and GPU power consumption has been reduced by up to 30%. The overall power consumption of the chip has decreased by about 15% compared to the Snapdragon 8.
As for the scores obtained, the overall score on the well-known AnTuTu benchmarking platform exceeded 1,1 million points, while the overall score of the Snapdragon 870 equipped with the previous generation tablet is less than 800000 points. The performance gap between the two chips is clear.
For the rest, the Xiaomi Pad 6 series should arrive with thin borders, 11-12 inch display, dual rear camera and MIUI for Pad operating system.
