The news of these hours is that Xiaomi will be one of the exhibitors at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 to be held between February 26 and March 1 in Barcelona. The news immediately aroused the interest of the media who speculate that the Chinese company can use the technology event to announce the flagship smartphone for the future, the Xiaomi Mi 7.

Confirmation of participation in the event comes directly from the official website of the Mobile World Congress. Lei Jun had previously stated that the Xiaomi Mi 7 would be unveiled during the Chinese spring season, which coincides with the probable announcement in late February or early March. All this is sparking the imagination of the fans of the brand who are hoping for the release of the top of the range Mi 7 at MWC 2018 and that it would decree Xiaomi as the first Chinese manufacturer to debut with a Snapdragon 845 phone.

Also given the latest statements by Lei Jun, who recently confirmed that the company will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in 2018, it is conceivable that the dual camera configuration of Mi 7 will be optimized with artificial intelligence to offer a stellar photography experience. Additionally, Xiaomi Mi 7 will be the company's first smartphone with wireless charging capabilities.
