Xiaomi Redmi 2A: The first Antuto benchmarks emerged on the net

A few days Xiaomi presented the Redmi 2A, a smartphone that will soon be available in China at the price of just 599 Yuan, about 90 Euro at the current exchange rate. Even though not yet available, some screenshoots have appeared on the net yesterday, from which you can see the scores from this device on the well-known benchmark software Antutu, scores that are not bad for a smartphone by 90 euro!

Before examining in detail the results obtained, here is a brief summary of the technical features of the Redmi 2A:

  • Display IPS da 4.7 inches in resolution HD;
  • Processor Leadcore L1860C quad-core Cortex A7 1.5GHz with 32 bit;
  • GPU Mali-T622;
  • Conference proceedings RAM da 1 GB and internal memory from 8 GB;
  • Front and rear cameras respectively from 2 and 8 megapixels;
  • Battery from 2200 mAh;
  • Connectivity dual sim 4G;
  • 4.4.4 Android Kitkat and MIUI 6.

At hardware level, the only differences between this device and the XMUMX Redmi reside solely on the processor and video card that, remember, in the XMUMX Redmi are respectively the Snapdragon 410 , Adreno 306. On paper then the Redmi 2 should be more powerful, but in the light of the results Antutu it does not look like this at all. The Redmi 2A actually scored a good score 23351, against i 18342 totalized by the Redmi 2.

As you can see from the screen where the comparison between the two smartphones is proposed, the 2A is superior on all points of view compared to Redmi 2, except for the management of the RAM and for an unidentified item which, given the wording "Android", will certainly have to do with the operating system. These results demonstrate how Xiaomi has worked hard on optimizing Redmi 2A, and in particular on the CPU that, as many of you know, is made of Leadcore Technology, a manufacturer of low-cost processors for entry level devices.

Before I say hello, I ask you a question: why do you think the Redmi 2A is doing better than the competitor, even though the latter on the card should be more performing? I have one idea I'm done ... you say yours!
