Il Redmi Note 7 has immediately received excellent consents and good reviews both for the design and for the excellent camera, and yet has always suffered the specter of the arrival of the inevitable "big brother": Nice yes… but when will the PRO version arrive?
The wait is finally over because the book has been publishedofficial announcement via the company account on weibo, then recondited by all the Xiaomi executives, who confirm the presentation of the Redmi Note 7 Pro for the next week.
With this announcement comes also the confirmation of the biggest news that we will find on this new version, a new photo sensor, the same that we saw in adoption in Xiaomi Mi 9. As already widely expected the already remarkable Samsung GM1 will be replaced by the stratospheric Sony IMX586 from 48MP.
While the specifications may seem overlapping, the key difference between IMX586 and GM1 is that the former can achieve 48 million effective pixels transforming the pixel structure thanks to the 4 × 4 matrix, which makes the photo richer and more defined even if zoomed in. Instead the 48 million pixels of the GM1 are essentially 12 million pixels (4000 x 3000) interpolated to generate files from 48MP.
In consequence of this the Redmi Note 7 will certainly also be equipped with a SoC more powerful able to handle the largest amount of data produced byIMX586 and of 4K video at 60 fps. Rumors confirm that it will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 to replace the current Snap 660, because of the excellent performances found also compared to the Snap 710 and for its ability to support the 48MP.
Still remaining in the field of rumors, prices in China they should be these:
- 6 / 64gb to 1699 (222 €)
- 6 / 128gb to 1999 (262 €)
In any case there is not much to wait because the most accredited date for the presentation seems to be for next week, the 28 February!
