While we are waiting to understand if the last Redmi flagship house, namely the Redmi Note 7 Pro, will be released on the global market and specifically in the Italian market or not, we can savor in advance what one of the most interesting devices is capable of to do.
As you may have understood from the title, let's talk about the photographic sector, one of the most important differences compared to the Redmi Note 7 presented a couple of months before. Will the Pro version be able to assert itself? Let's find out together in this series of photos from China!
Redmi Note 7 Pro: First photographic samples from China, better than the Note 7?
Let's start with the photo above, the only example of a photo that was originally 48MP but that for reasons of space we had to reduce to "only" 25MP. Unfortunately the photo is not a very good example because the bokeh effect was used for the background blur, this does not help us to visualize the details very well since part of the photo is not in focus.
Following we have instead several photos taken by day with and without light behind the subject, to make us understand the dynamic range of the sensor.
Finally, we have four photos taken at night, with the last two repeating. One is in fact taken without the Night Scene mode and the other with.
- Without Night Scene mode
- With Night Scene mode
We must say that we see a big difference when Night Scene mode is activated in poor light conditions, but as for all the others, they did not surprise us positively.
So, in fact, all this difference between the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro does not seem to be at least qualitatively. Yes, the Pro version manages to take pictures of 48MP, but this is just how much light there is and there is no need to use Quad Bayer technology that combines four pixels in one to reduce noise in the photos. Just note that by default the camera is set to take pictures of 12MP precisely for this.
Obviously, with a software update this could all change. On paper the Sony IMX586 sensor is much better than the Samsung GM1 present in the Redmi Note 7 (not Pro), so maybe, in the future, it will be possible to widen the gap between the two devices.
What do you think of the photos taken of the Note 7 Pro? Do you agree with us that the terminal needs some extra optimization? Let us know in the comments section below!
Warning, I found that the pro panel is LTPS and not a normal IPS.
Very well! I look forward to reassurance on the fact that the pro will be sold in Europe in a global version… I don't want another phone without 20 band and with Chinese rom ..
