Xiaomi Redmi Pad: here is the new 10-inch cheap Android tablet

Xiaomi plans to launch the Redmi Pad, the first tablet from its Redmi subsidiary, which specializes in affordable mobile devices. We already have all the details on the Xiaomi Redmi Pad, which will count on a 10,6-inch display and will probably arrive on the market for less than 250 euros. Let's find out its main technical specifications.

Xiaomi Redmi Pad: large battery and four speakers

The new Redmi Pad Xiaomi will be equipped with a 10,61 inch LCD panel who works with 2000 1200 pixels x and offers a maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz. The panel can operate with a brightness of up to 400 nits and offers a color depth of 10 bits. The contrast ratio is indicated as 1500: 1.

Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio G99 Octacore SoC, produced by TSMC on a 6-nanometer scale. The chip has two ARM Cortex-A76 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2,2 GHz and six low-power ARM Cortex-A55 cores with up to 2,0 GHz. The Redmi Pad will be equipped with 3-4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal flash memory based on UFS 2.2.

In terms of the photographic sector, it is equipped with a 8 MP camera with autofocus on the back, while another equally megapixel camera with a 105-degree field of view and so-called technology FocusFrame they do their homework on the front. FocusFrame should ensure that a wider field of view is used, if needed, when more people are seated in front of the device.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pad has a 8000 mAh, which should be enough for one day of autonomy. The battery can be quickly charged up to 18 watts, although Xiaomi always includes a 22,5 watt power supply. The device is only seven millimeters thick and weighs 445 grams.

The metal back will be offered in Graphite Gray, Moonlight Silver and Mint Green colors. Furthermore, four Dolby Atmos certified speakers ensure optimal sound reproduction. The operating system used is Android 12 with the customized MIUI interface in the tablet variant. We still have no information on the alleged 5G version of the Redmi Pad.
