Less than 24 hours from the official presentation of Redmi Y3 already scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday 24 April, the next entry level of the Redmi house appears on the famous benchmark platform GeekBench, eliminating almost every possible surprise.
The benchmark fact, in addition to revealing the score obtained by the device, also makes us understand the hardware that we will find on board.
Xiaomi Redmi Y3 appears on GeekBench with Snapdragon CPU
So let's start with the perhaps most important component on a smartphone, or the processor. The Redmi Y3 will come with the slightly outdated Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, so a step back from the Redmi 7 which instead equips a Snapdragon 632. The processor is then assisted by 3GB of RAM (at least in the tested version),
The score obtained by this coupled is 1236 in single-core mode, while in multi-core it is possible to reach a score of 4213 points. So a score in line with the past terminals having the same CPU, like the Redmi Note 4X, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi 6 Pro and others.
In the benchmark we see then the operating system on board the device, or Android 9.0 Pie.
As for the other specifications on board this entry-level dedicated to the Indian market, we will have a large 4000mAh battery, a notch drop like the Redmi Note 7 / 7 Pro, on a screen whose size we still don't know . Finally, there will be a front camera from well 32MP, so something new never seen before on a Redmi smartphone.
As we said earlier, Redmi Y3 will be presented tomorrow 24 April in India. We just have to wait and see if the smartphone will then be made official in other countries or if it will be an Indian exclusive.
In any case, with the Redmi 7 for sale in our country, this Redmi Y3 does not seem like a better option, unless you are a selfie-addicted.
