Last week, Xiaomi then updated 8 items within MIUI, such as updating large folder widget on the homepage to support 3×3 arrangement and Xiaomi calendar supporting batch deletion of schedules, etc.
Among them, the updated version 23.1.3 of the MIUI developer version provides a “sensor control permission” function, which can directly disable the acceleration sensor information acquisition permission of an app, thus eliminating the function “ shake” in certain apps.
It is worth mentioning that in order to standardize the "shake" function and other issues, to protect the rights and legitimate interests of users, the major Chinese companies jointly formulated the "User Rights Protection Evaluation Specification of the app Part 7: Deception, Misleading and Compulsive Behavior” T/TAF 078.7-2022 at the end of last year and was approved by the telecommunication terminal industry on November 25, 2022. Now, the association has officially applied for implementation.
This standard further refines the relevant parameters for the app information window to activate a page or switch to a third-party application by “shaking”, etc., and proposes that device acceleration of the action of “ shaking” should not be less than 15m/s 2, the rotation angle not less than 35°, and the operation time is not less than 3 seconds. The acceleration value, direction and angle of rotation are considered simultaneously. This is to ensure that if the user is walking, running or other actions in daily life, smart devices do not activate the function automatically.
