Xiaomi's Smart Band is one of the most popular ranges of the Chinese brand thanks to its many features and affordable price. Well, according to the latest from China, the smart band that has already reached the seventh generation should see some news in the coming months.
Xiaomi Smart Band 8 certified by NRRA: it will have a removable strap
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 would in fact have been certified by the NRRA certification body (a body in South Korea). Photos have also been released along with the certification, revealing some key details of the product.
So we can see that the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 still adopts the pill-shaped design, but for the first time, the strap is changed and it is detachable on both sides, instead of the previous mosaic strap. We had already seen this design on the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro and apparently it will also be brought to the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 in the basic version.
Also, according to the information revealed on the certification page, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 features Bluetooth 5.1, a built-in DC 3,87V polymer Li-ion battery, and has model number M2239B1. As can be seen from the image, there are also some design changes on the back of the Xiaomi Mi Band 8, with a small button that can be used to remove the band.
Earlier, the well-known Indian leakster Mukul Sharma revealed that it is likely that Xiaomi's new wearable product would already be put into mass production, indicating that the official launch is not far away.
In fact, as some of you may remember, the last three generations of the Xiaomi Band were all released in the first half of the year. We therefore have reason to believe that the Xiaomi Band 8 is no exception. Alternatively, it is highly likely that Xiaomi's smart band will be presented in the second quarter of 2023 and could accompany the release of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
