Xiaomi, the well-known technological giant, recently launched its new smart ecosystem product on the market: lo Xiaomi Smart Cat Eye 2. This device, which represents the last frontier of intelligent video intercoms, was officially put on sale today, with un launch price of 579 yuan, about 75 euros at the current exchange rate.

The Xiaomi Smart Cat Eye 2 stands out for its 3 megapixel camera with a resolution of 2048*1536, which guarantees sharp and detailed images. Supporting HDR and boasting a visual field of 180 °, the device offers a wide view and minimizes blind spots, thus allowing users to have a complete view of what is happening outside their door.
One of the most impressive features of the Smart Cat Eye 2 is its ability to operate in low-light conditions. With 8 x 940nm infrared lights and a high sensitivity sensor, the video intercom ensures excellent visibility even at night, without the risk of red exposures that can disturb the image.
The elegant design of the device includes one 5 inch screen with 720P resolution, which is activated automatically showing who is at the door as soon as the doorbell rings. This intuitive feature is particularly useful for identifying visitors or couriers without the need to physically approach the door.
The Smart Cat Eye 2 is also equipped with Dual PIR sensors for human motion detection, which cover a180° wide horizontal range. These sensors are capable of immediately starting recording when someone approaches the door, with the ability to adjust the detection sensitivity across three levels, depending on the user's specific needs.
Also innovative is the support for Xiaomi HyperOS, which allows you to start video calls via the Mijia app. Users can even change their voice when speaking with visitors, offering an added layer of security and personalization. The device also supports preset quick responses, such as “Please leave the package at the door,” and allows you to customize voice messages based on personal preferences.
Finally, battery life is another strong point of the Xiaomi Smart Cat Eye 2. With a 8000mAh built-in battery, the device can work up to 300 days in long duration mode and up to 150 days in real-time display mode, reducing the need for frequent charging and ensuring greater convenience for users.
