Xiaomi has officially presented the new Smart Door Lock 4 Pro Dual Camera Edition, now available for pre-order on Xiaomi Youpin at a starting price of 2.899 yuan (about €380). The device represents a significant improvement over the previous version, introducing a second camera for more comprehensive and functional surveillance, also designed to monitor package deliveries and suspicious activity.

The design remains faithful to the elegant and minimalist line of the Smart Door Lock 4 Pro series, but the real novelty is the 2MP 128° angle rear camera, which joins the 3MP 160° ultra-wide angle main camera. This setup allows for visual coverage without blind spots, supported by a dynamic night vision system that automatically switches from color to black and white in low-light conditions.
On the security front, Xiaomi has integrated 12 unlocking modes, among which the following stand out:
AI palm vein recognition, with infrared scanning and unlocking in less than a second
AI 3D facial recognition, with anti-spoofing detection and pinpoint accuracy
Unlock via fingerprint, password, Bluetooth, mechanical key and compatible Xiaomi devices (smartphone, smartwatch, smart band, NFC card)
The system features a 24GHz millimeter-wave radar and an AI human detection algorithm, which sends real-time notifications when someone approaches or lingers in front of the door. Additionally, the lock can detect break-in attempts, a door left ajar, a tampered panel, and other critical events, triggering intelligent security alerts.
The battery has been increased to 6.870mAh, with a hybrid power system that combines lithium batteries and dry cells, ensuring up to 10 months of battery life. In case of emergency, you can use a power bank via the dual Type-C ports, or take advantage of the reverse wireless charging function to power the smartphone.
