If we had started thinking about the simplest object in the world that doesn't really need to become smart, the drying rack is probably among the first 10 things that would have come to mind.
Well, apparently this is not the case for Xiaomi, or to be precise, the Mr. Bond brand with which our Chinese giant has decided to cooperate today. So here is the first smart drying rack in the world (hopefully) branded Mr. Bond!
Xiaomi has finally produced the long-awaited smart drying rack!
The Br. Bond drying rack arrives with a very minimal design and has a main body one meter long, while the lower part where clothes are actually hung can be extended up to 1,7 meters. So the drying rack can be made smaller or larger depending on the tastes and space available. While as regards the other dimensions, the upper part is 19cm wide and 66mm thick with the two cables going down to a length of 120cm, to these are then added other 20cm if you want to lengthen the rod or lower even more.
The drying rack has two rods, a flat top and a bottom one with 10 rings, but it seems that only the latter can be used, although it is not clear why, given that in any case the drying rack supports up to a maximum weight of 15Kg.
But let's go to the most interesting part, the smart one. The Mr. Bond drying rack can be remotely controlled either with the supplied remote control or through the Mijia app already compatible with hundreds of other Xiaomi gadgets. So, in fact, you can get the auction up and down from your smartphone even outside the home; don't ask us why you should do it.
The internal motors that allow the drying rack to move the rods is a German-made CARLJACOB AC, with different protection systems against overload, too high pressure, too high current and automatic deceleration even with heavy hanging objects. In a nutshell, it will work perfectly for the task at hand without any problems whatsoever.
As for the other components, we have high quality aluminum that will not oxidize or rust. While the suspension cables are made of stainless steel, much more resistant to wear.
Finally, the Mr. Bond drying rack is equipped with an LED strip with a color temperature of 6500K so that it can be used as a balcony light or otherwise create an extra light point since the laundry will probably cover the external view.
Mr. Bond's drying rack is now for sale on the Xiaomi website at the 599 Yuan figure, or around 80 €. Honestly, to us more than to Mr. Bond, it looks like a Mr. Bean gadget. What do you think instead? Does it seem like a useful accessory? Let us know in the comments section below!
I think adding a tangential fan to hot / cold air would be great as it dries / irones linen
At first I thought there was something like this to precisely dry / iron faster. But no, it's just a simple drying rack made smart 😄
mmmmm I couldn't wait. But it goes to catch the rats
😁 .. never again without
