Xiaomi strikes again: here is the new smart ring we didn't expect!

Xiaomi is ready to surprise the market with a new one smart give us a call or send an e-mail, which clearly differs from the previous model Amazfit Helium Ring. The images leaked and disclosed by AndroidTR offer an early look at a device full of innovations, with a particularly intriguing charging system. Here's what we know so far.

New Xiaomi smart ring: exclusive design and functionality

The images show a device which, although internally similar to the Amazfit model with regards to basic functionality, clearly differs on the external part with a Renewed design which includes a slot in the central part, a clear sign that we are not talking about the same product. Xiaomi is therefore preparing a new smart ring but not entirely, at least as far as aesthetics are concerned.

The new ring from Xiaomi also stands out for its charging system. Unlike other company devices, such as the Xiaomi Mi Band which uses charging pins, this ring adopts a more advanced and convenient solution: the wireless charging. The charger is equipped with a port USB Type-C and presents indicators LED which show the charging status, suggesting a significant evolution compared to traditional methods and an alignment with the most modern technologies used in high-end smartwatches, such as Samsung Galaxy Watch.

Further details emerge from the analysis of the software included in the device, as revealed by the configuration files obtained. The ring works with ZeppOS and supports a variety of fitness and health-related features, such as continuous heart rate monitoring, the recognition of sporting activity and the possibility of receiving notifications for maintaining posture. Among the most notable features, figure monitoring the menstrual cycle ee customization of health notifications.

Also interesting is the code name “Galaxy”, used in the configuration files. This detail raises questions about a possible branding strategy aimed at positioning itself directly against the Samsung Galaxy Ring. However, it is still early to confirm whether this name refers precisely to this new smart ring or to another device under development.
