Xiaomi: four-digit growth for 5G smartphones in Europe!

Xiaomi has become the first company in the world in regards to smartphone sales. A success that has had a lot of resonance in recent months and that has brought users even closer to the brand. But what about the 5G smartphone how is Xiaomi doing? Apparently well, indeed, very well given that it has surpassed giants like Samsung and Apple in markets like thecentral Europe ed Eastern Europe. But let's see the data disclosed by Strategy Analytics, a leading company when it comes to technical market analysis.

Xiaomi has more than made ends meet in Europe: almost half of the 5G smartphones sold in the eastern and central EU are from the Chinese company!

According l 'last search of Strategy Analytics, in the third quarter of 2021, Xiaomi recorded around 42% of total 5G smartphone shipments in Central and Eastern Europe, with one growth in annual shipments of 5.700%. The brand is the leading 5G Android smartphone provider globally in the third quarter of 2021 and is the leading 5G smartphone provider overall in Central and Eastern Europe. Xiaomi's 5G smartphone shipments have grown surpassing Apple and Samsung over the past year to take the top spot in 5G smartphones in the region.

It is expected that Xiaomi will maintain its leadership in the Central and Eastern European region for the whole year 2021 and will remain the leader in 5G smartphone shipments in 2022. Xiaomi is taking advantage of Huawei's absence, as well as its own portfolio of affordable high-quality 5G smartphones such as Redmi and POCO.

However, the other suppliers are not standing still. Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), took second place in 5G smartphone shipments in the third quarter of 2021 in the Central and Eastern European region. The Cupertino brand expects a golden quarter for its line of iPhone 13, but the higher prices will limit their reach in the region. Samsung, with its range of most affordable 5G smartphones, took third place with an 11.5% share of 5G smartphones shipped to the region, down from 34,3% in the quarter a year ago.

realme and OnePlus completed the top 5 5G smartphone vendors in Central and Eastern Europe with a share of 7.2% and 2.5% respectively of 5G smartphone shipments. While realme has been gaining ground over the past year, it was Xiaomi that had the most smartphone shipments, even though Apple captured a quarter of the market.
