Xiaomi: construction outside China is increasingly concrete

China is the top producer and exporter in the world if we consider the smartphone market. Sue are companies of the caliber of Xiaomi, Oppo and alive. As we know, the vast majority (if not all) of our beloved brand's devices are produced there, in Middle-earth. Yet, according to what they expose authoritative sources, the future the situation could change. This would mean, on balance, one price reduction to users that it would not be bad also given the increases in recent years. But let's see what the situation is.

Xiaomi smartphones are manufactured and exported from China, but this could change in the future according to Bloomberg reports

Xiaomi, Oppo and vivo are in discussions with the Indian contract phone manufacturers, hoping to take advantage of the cash incentives readily available to local businesses. That's what whistleblowers told Bloomberg. If they go this far, the plan is to persuade Lava International Ltd. Dixon Technologies India Ltd. to assemble smartphones and start exporting from their factories already this year. Now, adding to these figures is the ongoing crisis between Russia and Ukraine destabilizing the tech world , chip crisis, which is doing the same.

Xiaomi

Such a collaboration would represent a milestone for a sector increasingly dominated by Chinese brands. China is both the world's largest consumer and producer of smartphones, but Xiaomi and his colleagues are looking for ways to expand globally. According to the sources of Bloomberg, Oppo and vivo have started discussions with Lava while Xiaomi woos Dixon.

Both groups are considering government incentives in cash related to production capacity, a program intended to make India more competitive as an electronics manufacturer. Chinese executives from the three companies are expected to begin visiting the Lava and Dixon factories as soon as the borders reopen safely. Priya Joseph, a political analyst at Counterpoint, said.

India is making the most of the technological cold war between the US and China, and now China and Taiwan, to strategically increase electronics production

The declaration of Pankaj Mohindroo, president of Lava:

We expect another 10x growth by 2026 riding the key pillars of the global ecosystem of the Apple and Samsung value chain, as well as large domestic companies such as Lava.

As we said at the beginning, this reality could lead to one decrease in prices of smartphones in the future. Sure, the distance between India and Europe is great, but it's not much compared to those with China. In any case this is what it is we we expect: it does not necessarily correspond to the truth.
