The decision concerns a total of 30.931 vehicles of the standard version of the SU7 produced from February 6, 2024 to November 26, 2024. The affected models include 18.410 vehicles of the BJ7000MBEVR2 model, 12.117 vehicles of the XMA7000MBEVR2 model and 404 vehicles of the XMA7000MBEVR5 model.

The competent authorities have confirmed a total of 255 complaints related to the identified issue. Xiaomi Auto has officially stated that This OTA recall can only be completed through a free remote update (OTA) of the vehicle, without having to take the vehicle to the shop for inspections or interventions.
Xiaomi will notify the owners of the affected vehicles via text messages, mobile apps, etc. Users can also call Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. customer service at 400-182-6888 to get more details about this OTA recall. This method simplifies the process and minimizes the inconvenience to vehicle owners.

Xiaomi Auto said that the cause of the problem was identified immediately after the incident on November 14. It was a software time synchronization anomaly caused by an occasional failure of the cloud service. Effective preventive measures have been implemented through the cloud service, and additional redundant protection measures have been added to the intelligent parking assistance. It has been confirmed that the potential risks have been eliminated.
