Xiaomi marked a historic milestone in the world of electric cars with the SU7 Ultra, establishing a new record on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit. The production version has completed the lap in 7 minutes, 4 seconds and 957 thousandths, becoming the fastest electric sedan ever recorded on the German track.
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is the fastest electric sedan ever recorded on the Nürburgring

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun enthusiastically announced the achievement, noting that the company will continue to refine its technologies and compete with the world's best manufacturers. Xiaomi has decided to establish a long-term presence at the Nürburgring, using the circuit as a testing ground for the development of its electric cars.
Back in October 2024, a prototype of the SU7 Ultra had impressed the motoring world, recording a time of 6 minutes and 46,874 seconds, breaking the record held by European and American brands for seven years.
The production version retains the same propulsion system as the prototype, with the in-house developed Xiaomi V8s engine reaching a top speed of 27.200 rpm.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra boasts impressive numbers:
- Maximum power of 1.548 horsepower, thanks to the tri-motor configuration.
- Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1,98 seconds, excluding start-up reaction time.
- Maximum speed of 350 km/h, a value that places it among the fastest electric cars in the world.
During the record lap, the SU7 Ultra reached 346 km/h, beating the previous record held by the Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima, which stopped at 334 km/h.
The success of the SU7 Ultra is the result of an innovative engineering approach, which combines advanced electric motors, with vector torque management for optimal traction; a high-performance battery, with 800V architecture, which guarantees efficiency and improved autonomy; an aerodynamic chassis developed for the track, with a design that maximizes stability at high speeds.
Xiaomi has officially joined the Nürburgring Industry Pool program, a consortium that allows manufacturers to test and develop vehicles in extreme conditions.
This collaboration demonstrates Xiaomi's commitment to the automotive industry, aiming to redefine the standards of high-performance electric cars.
