For over a year now, there has been talk of the highly acclaimed 100W Xiaomi Super Charge Turbo charging, a power never seen before on a smartphone and which would make Xiaomi the world leader in mobile charging technology. Well, after a long period of silence, about a week ago we had seen a video of what was on 100W charger (20V 5A) with support for the Super Charge Turbo, while today a new leak arrives from China that "confirms" the imminent debut.
Leak: Xiaomi Super Charge Turbo 100W ready for debut
The news comes from the usual Tipster Digital Chat Station that on Weibo (a Chinese Twitter-like) has released a fairly cryptic message "The course of history is another world premiere", or in the course of history there will be another world preview, attaching screenshots of some of his previous posts regarding the Xiaomi Super Charge Turbo 100W charging. So in other words, the launch of the new technology would be around the corner. Unfortunately, however, Digital Chat Station has not communicated any date, which means that we will have to continue waiting.
As we learned several months ago in some demos, thanks to the charging of Xiaomi with a power of 100W it is possible to recharge a battery with a capacity of 4000mAh in just 17 minutes. Obviously such advanced technology could completely change our habits, allowing us to recharge our smartphones in the blink of an eye.
It goes without saying that 100W charging will not be backwards compatible with smartphones already on the market. The question then arises: on which model will it debut? According to rumors in recent months, the super-charged 100-W will be launched with the Xiaomi Mi 4 MIX or otherwise marked another flagship Xiaomi.
This new flagship could also be next Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro + that we have talked about in the last few weeks. This device is what in China they have nicknamed "Super Large Cup", an analogy that means that it is the most premium version of this generation, in short, "the top of the top".
Finally, as regards the timing, the new Mi 10 Pro + could arrive in July / August, while the Mi MIX 4 will most likely arrive in the autumn.
