He had promised it a few months ago and today it seems much closer, let's talk about the new fast-charge technology Xiaomi Super Charge Turbo which should allow us to recharge the smartphone to the incredible power of 100W. Xiaomi has just revealed more details about the technology at the MIDC19 conference that is taking place in China; let's find out more!
Xiaomi Super Charge Turbo 100W: More details revealed, imminent arrival?
The Chinese giant has first of all confirmed the name of the technology, namely Super Charge Turbo, then adding that the new fast charge will work thanks to the adoption of two-cell batteries to achieve a very high energy efficiency of around 98%. Furthermore, Xiaomi claims that this recharge can only be achieved through the use of materials with an extremely low and more expensive impedance. As a result, the price of devices with this technology will also be slightly higher.
The Xiaomi spokesman then explained that charging to 100W will bring different technologies never seen before on a smartphone. Such as high-voltage charging with the use of batteries in series, nine charging protection systems (seven on the motherboard and two on the battery itself). We will then have a dedicated and independent MCU (microcontroller) to reduce crashes and increase safety, a converged cable and wireless architecture system and MTW battery technology for lower internal impedance, lower temperature and a faster charging ratio.

As we said earlier, this is not the first time we've heard of fast charging at 100W. A few months ago the co-founder and president of Xiaomi, Lin Bin, had in fact released a video that showed us the reload at 100W in action, with a total recharge (for a battery from 4000mAh) in only 17 minutes.
Now we just have to find out on which smartphone we will finally see this technology so that we can try it for ourselves.
