Yesterday we told you about the successes achieved in Italy by Xiaomi, despite the rather delicate period generated by the Coronavirus pandemic. In fact, the Covid-19 has generated, among other things, considerable delays in shipments and general logistics, giving rise to many controversies against the Chinese OEM which, during the national lockdown period, however celebrated the Mi Fan Festival in April, where the discounts were so attractive that they went well beyond the economic return expectations posed by Xiaomi.
The success translated into numbers has allowed to total over 15000 orders, which inevitably have registered delays in shipments, which for the uninitiated departed from Spain, given the centralization of the European warehouse. Therefore, taking advantage of the errors, if we want to call them so, the company has therefore thought of opening a warehouse also here in Italy.
Xiaomi thinks about the big step: the first warehouse in Italy is coming
Davide Lunardelli, Xiaomi's Marketing Manager in Italy, gave the news, albeit not quite openly, who took part in a series of interviews putting his face in dealing with the problems we mentioned at the beginning of the article. Between direct Youtube and Instagram, Lunardelli has revealed that to deal with such a large amount of orders in the future, Xiaomi would be thinking about the construction project of the brand's first Italian warehouse, in order to better deal with distribution problems.
Despite all the good intentions, Davide Lunardelli has not been able to say with precision when this warehouse will actually be inaugurated, but it could already be this unlucky 2020 to be the birthplace of the logistics project, in consideration of the trust that Italian customers are placing towards the brand , so much so that it gets on the podium of the brand sellers in Italy. We will see if there will be further developments in the coming weeks, which we will not fail to tell you about in the pages of our blog.
