Xiaomi TV Stick 2021, this is perhaps the name of the next USB stick with integrated Android TV. The new Xiaomi set-top box in the form of an HDMI dongle was certified laid down by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States, thanks to which it is now known not only the appearance of the device, but also some of its own key features. It turned out how the second version will differ from the original. Unfortunately (but perhaps better this way) the design will not be the strong point of the device: will be identical to that of last year's model. That said, let's go see the photos and key specs.
Xiaomi (Mi) TV Stick 2021 with 4K resolution is almost a reality. The first international certification reveals its design and key specifications
Externally, the successor of the xiaomi mi tv stick it is no different from the version released earlier this year. It's still the same little HDMI dongle in the form of a flash drive and with a proprietary remote included. However, in terms of technical characteristics, the new product has greatly improved. In fact, it uses a processor Amlogic S905Y4 with four Cortex A35 cores and a graphics accelerator Mali G31 MP2. Therefore, it will be able to play content in 4K and at 60 frames per second, which was not enough for the first generation.
The new Xiaomi TV Stick 2021 set-top box will receive a significantly improved Wi-Fi module, which provides download speeds on the VHT80 channel of up to 866,7 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 300 Mbps on the HT40 channel. For comparison, in the previous version it was respectively 433.3 and 150 Mbps. Also, the second generation will support AV1, H.265, VP9 P-2, AVS2 4Kp30 and H.264 codecs and HDR10 / 10 +, HLG, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and DTS HD technologies.
La date of presentation and the price of the new Xiaomi TV Stick 2021 have not yet been disclosed. However, remember that the first version, the one currently on sale, officially costs € 49.99 in Europe. We therefore expect that the cost of the new updated set-up-box will be slightly higher, possibly within € 50 in any case.

Question: do you know if the new version of the XiaoMi Stick is able to connect to the 5Ghz wi-fi band?
I use the older version of the XiaoMi Stick; It was not possible to mirror the Smartphone because the home Wi-Fi (TIM) has two bands, 2,4GHz and 5GHz; the XiaoMi Stick (previous version) connects only to the 2,4 GHz band, while the smartphone to 5Ghz; Upon entering the router I deselected the 5GHz band; Both devices connecting to the same band can interact;
Hi Francesco. Unfortunately we have no news of the new Mi Stick. I assume that, by now, it won't even come out… but I could be wrong. For now we don't know anything.
Thanks for the communication !!!
