Xiaomi USB Charger 30W presented, USB Type-C charging up to 30W

The new Xiaomi Mi 9 is one of the most powerful smartphones on the market thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor that equips, unfortunately, however, the battery is not as powerful at an 3300mAh capacity. What is the solution? The ultra-fast charging to 27W that the smartphone supports and that now you can do with the new power supply just introduced!

The Xiaomi USB Charger 30W, so it's called, is the latest charger / power supply put on sale by the Chinese company on the Jingdong Mall store. The accessory comes with two USB ports and a maximum (total) power of 30W.

Going in particular, the USB charger of the Xiaomi has a USB Type-C port and a USB Type-A secondary (the ordinary one we find everywhere), this allows you to charge at least two devices at the same time.

Returning to the power of the device, we can get up to 30W if you use the USB Type-C (alone), allowing you to feed or recharge devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones. While with the USB Type-A port you can charge up to 27W, precisely the maximum power supported by the 9 Mi; will it be a case? When we use both ports instead, the power is reduced to 24W.

It is also good to specify that the USB Type-C port supports PD (Power Delivery) technology, that is the one used to recharge last generation tablets and laptops. As for the various charging details, there are four different voltages: 5V to 3A, 9V to 3A, 12V to 2.25A and finally 15V to 2A.

The plug on the Xiaomi USB Charger 30W is of the folding type, we can therefore close it internally to save space and release the two (Chinese) poles only when necessary. The USB charger supports international inputs from AC 100V up to 240V, which means it can be used all over the world theoretically, you will always need the adapter though.

The Xiaomi charger is also quite safe as it uses high quality chips produced outside of China to increase security and has different protections against overvoltage and overcurrent.

The Xiaomi USB Charger 30W is not the first charger of this type produced by the Chinese giant, but the latest in a long series. Previously, Xiaomi has in fact presented devices with PD technology that recharge up to 45W, 65W and even one with six ports with 60W of power.

Finally, we can not fail to mention the price of only 59 Yuan, about 8 €, for a battery charger that will surely do well on the Chinese market. Unfortunately, however, in Italy and in the rest of the world, the Chinese plug is a great inconvenience and will slow down sales.

But it does not load to 20V as it does the one from 27W sold in combination with the wireless base but is limited to 15 V

What's wrong with not having 20V mode? I am thinking of buying it for my Mi 9 or 20W wireless charging base (MDY-10-EP) which I have already purchased. Is it better to buy this 30W (A1C1) or 27W (MDY-10-EH)?

What is the problem of how or when 20V? Estou thinking of buying them pro meu Mi 9 ou pra base de wireless carregamento 20W (MDY-10-EP) que já comprei. Daí é melhor buy them 30W (A1C1) ou or 27W (MDY-10-EH)?
